Gregory G. Chakar

President/Founder

Greg is a Wilmington DE Native raised & currently residing in North Wilmington. Greg began mowing lawns one summer at the age of 12 years old to save up money for a cellphone. That summer, pushing a Toro push mower from a yard sale & wagon from his childhood for miles up & down the streets of a North Wilmington Neighborhood, the vision was born. The following summer Greg had accumulated around a dozen mowing clients, and business was growing already. What really changed things was when one of his neighbors had a large landscaping project completed by a local landscaping company, one of the largest at the time. In between mowing his lawns, Greg spent that summer watching this landscape come to life. That experience ignited Greg’s interest in the residential landscape construction industry.

Greg began learning the landscape construction trade over his high school years. Greg attended St. Elizabeths High School in Wilmington for Freshman & Sophomore before transferring to Brandywine High School where a co-op schedule was offered, allowing him to grow Arborvine Landscaping. Shortly after graduating high school, Greg hired his first landscape designer & brought on his first few craftsmen. Adding crews, equipment & team members year by year, Greg was running a busy operation by the time he graduated high school. By his early 20’s, Greg had established a recognizable and highly sought after residential landscape design & build firm. Arborvine’s impressive growth, high standards and unique story along with a motivating and detailed mission quickly attracted the attention of the area’s most talented industry professionals! As Arborvine Landscaping continues to grow today, Greg continues to invest in his people to maintain the experience and level of service that his clients & partners deserve & have come to expect from Arborvine Landscaping.

Greg takes great pride in providing excellent customer service, the highest quality craftsmanship & use of only the finest materials. This allows him to provide each and every client with the exceptional experience & final results that Arborvine Landscaping is known for! In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying walks outdoors, taking trips to the beach and exercising.

Kathy Frazer

Landscape Design Consultant

Kathy comes to Arborvine as a passionate landscape designer with 10 years
in the green industry. She creates 3D renderings, videos and plans to help
our clients see the outcome of their investments. A solution based thinker,
a horticulturist and a field expert; she is an exciting addition to the
team.

When Kathy is away from work you can find her collecting seeds, growing
rare veggies and playing in the dirt. Kathy also enjoys spending time with
her son and daughter!

Erica L. Jones

Production Coordinator & Office Manager

Erica comes to Arborvine with four years experience in the landscape and tree industry. She decided to make a change in careers after being in a retail management position for ten years. Erica graduated with her Bachelors in Marketing and Management from Goldey-Beacom College.

Erica has been with her husband for the last eighteen years and has two sons. In her free time she enjoys watching her son’s play sports, especially soccer. As a family they enjoy being at the beach, traveling when we can, and enjoying Phillies and Union games.

Erica is responsible for scheduling of projects, coordinating materials and equipment for projects. Erica also handles administrative tasks and all marketing efforts for the company.
